Perforated sheet weight = plain sheet weight × (1 − open area %). A 1 mm 304 sheet with 40% open area weighs about 4.76 kg/m².

Which grade is best for a perforated sheet in a pharma plant?
SS 316 or 316L is preferred for pharma and chemical contact. SS 304 is fine for most food and general applications.
How do I calculate the weight of a perforated sheet?
Calculate the plain sheet weight and multiply by (1 − open area). For 40% open area, multiply by 0.6.
